This pot was created with a jar or vase style in mind, but in miniature, and we all know everything's cuter in miniature! Created with an older template of mine that was used for a completely different purpose but now has new life. It's the perfect size for a small arrangement of flowers, writing utensils, make up brushes and more. Whatever you choose it for it will bring joy and positive vibes into your space.
Slab formed body altered and shaped for a very full and organic shape, embellished with free hand designs and hand glazed with the perfect complimentary color. Each one is unique to its own form, and each design is based on the feeling the vessel brings to me.
For the glazes I utilize my own ash glaze recipes that I spent a year harvesting and burning different wood types to harvest ash that was then tested and retested to find a hand-full of perfect glazes. The testing is ongoing so there will be more over time, but I have enough in my arsenal at this point to create a variety of glaze colors in my pottery.
This means you are getting a very unique piece of functional art bearing my mark from start to finish. I hope you love them as much as I do!
