In my quest to design my own unique dish set I created this bowl design and I loved it so much that I decided to make them to sell publicly as well. The curved bottom created with a bisqueware template I created for this purpose makes a beautiful statement that leads into a nice straight wall to hold your other culinary creations in the basin of this lovely vessel. It's sure to elevate your dining experience and give beautiful and dramatic backdrop to show case to every serving.
Interior is glazed with my standard glaze color while the wall adds a pop of color and the bottom contrasting with an oxide wash that brings out the details in the design.
For the glazes I utilize my own ash glaze recipes that I spent a year harvesting and burning different wood types to harvest ash that was then tested and retested to find a hand-full of perfect glazes. The testing is ongoing so there will be more over time, but I have enough in my arsenal at this point to create a variety of glaze colors in my pottery.
This means you are getting a very unique piece of functional art bearing my mark from start to finish. I hope you love them as much as I do!
